Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 10, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how JBPS Capital LLC ("JBPS Capital," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit the Tideline website or subscribe to the Tideline publication (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for U.S. residents.
2. Information We Collect
- Account and subscription information: name, email address, and subscription status, provided when you subscribe or contact us.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive limited billing information from Stripe (such as card brand, last four digits, and payment status) necessary to administer your subscription.
- Communications: messages you send us, such as support requests.
- Technical information: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and operation of the site.
We do not collect precise geolocation, biometric data, or sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to: provide and administer subscriptions; deliver signal and service emails; process payments and prevent fraud; respond to inquiries; maintain the security and integrity of the Service; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our Terms of Use. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf and under contract: Stripe (payment processing), Postmark (email delivery), and our website hosting and infrastructure providers.
- Legal and safety recipients, where disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of JBPS Capital, our subscribers, or others.
- A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to previously collected information.
5. Cookies
The Service uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function: session cookies for logged-in subscriber access and cookies set by Stripe to operate secure checkout and prevent payment fraud. We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies. If we use website analytics, we use a cookieless, privacy-focused analytics service that does not collect personal information and does not track you across websites. Because we use no optional or tracking cookies, no cookie consent banner is required; strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality such as login and checkout.
6. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) to: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements, such as tax and billing records); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out is required; we also honor the Global Privacy Control signal, which has no effect on our practices since no sale or sharing occurs. To exercise your rights, contact us at info@jbpscapital.com. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your subscription and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
7. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights of access, correction, and deletion. We extend the access, correction, and deletion rights described above to all U.S. subscribers regardless of state. Requests may be submitted to info@jbpscapital.com.
8. Data Retention
We retain account and billing information for as long as your subscription is active and thereafter as required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance (generally seven years for billing records). Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes. You may request deletion at any time; we will delete information not subject to a legal retention requirement.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), payment processing handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS certified), and access controls limiting who can view subscriber information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Visitors from Outside the United States
The Service is operated from, and intended for residents of, the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced to subscribers by email or a notice on the site, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
